Terms for using SpeakHour.

These Terms govern your use of the SpeakHour Android application, website, and related services. By using SpeakHour, you agree to these Terms.

Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate information, controlling access to the phone number used for sign-in, and activity performed through your account. Do not share an OTP with anyone. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Learning service

SpeakHour provides language-learning practice and feedback. It does not provide academic accreditation, employment advice, or a guarantee of fluency, examination results, or other outcomes. Features and lesson content may change as the service develops.

Voice and user content

You retain ownership of voice recordings and other content you provide. You grant SpeakHour the limited permission necessary to host, process, reproduce, and analyze that content to operate the features you choose, provide feedback, secure the service, and comply with law. Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, infringing, or that violates another person’s privacy.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse SpeakHour, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, evade usage or security limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited by law, impersonate another person, or use the service to harm others.

Purchases and subscriptions

SpeakHour may offer paid subscription plans through Google Play. The price, billing period, trial terms (if any), and included features are shown before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel them through Google Play before the end of the current billing period. Deleting the app or your SpeakHour account does not by itself cancel a subscription. Payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled under Google Play’s applicable billing terms and policies.

Intellectual property

SpeakHour’s software, name, visual identity, lesson materials, and original content are owned by SpeakHour or used with permission. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. You may use the service only for personal, lawful purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Availability and termination

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or violations of these Terms. You may stop using SpeakHour at any time and may request account deletion as explained on our account deletion page.

Disclaimers and liability

SpeakHour is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy, changes, and contact

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. We may update these Terms as the service changes and will update the effective date when we do. Questions can be sent to contact@speakhour.com.
